Powerfully styled with a modern silver resin case, this Casio G-Shock analog/digital men's watch (model G511-1AV) can withstand virtually any punishment you can mete out. It features a black dial and luminous hands as well as three digital subdial windows (for the watch's sport timing features) and an additional digital window displaying day of the week. This large, round case measures 44.5mm wide (or 1.75 inches), and it's completed by a black resin strap that tapers as it winds around your wrist.
It includes a 1/100-second stopwatch with a 60-minute measuring capacity and elapsed time, split time, and 1st/2nd place time modes as well as a 60-minute countdown timer. Other timekeeping functions include 12/24-hour formats, year/month/date/day display (with an autocalendar to the year 2099), daylight savings time on/off, and world time from 29 time zones/27 cities (with city code display). It has four independent daily alarms (with one snooze alarm) and an optional hourly time signal. I ordered this watch after my 12 year old timex expedition started acting funny. The watch looks great and I've gotten a few compliments on it. I got it because it was way smaller than the rest of the G-Shock series and because it can be worn casually or can be worn dressed up also. The band is nice and sturdy and I like the fact that it has the guards since I am rough with watches and they do take abuse.There are three gripes I have with this watch which are minor.One is that sometimes it is difficult to make out the time because the hour hand on the analog is red and it sometimes blends in with the rest of the background.Two is that it has a 10 minute count up timer on the top of the watch, which then counts down for another 10 minutes, there is no way to turn it off. Just wish you could.Three is that the digital time characters are kind of small. If your asleep and wake up to look at the time and its dark, you have to press the illumination button twice or three times to get your eyes to adjust so your able to see the time.Overall I'm happy with it and the price was right with free shipping.

This is a great watch! It is tough and looks good. I have had a number of compliments on it. It will last for a long time. It has world time zones, five alarms, stop watch, hourly chime, etc. The only negatives are that the hands are hard to set (not a problem unless you travel to many different time zones as I do). Also he band will wear out before the watch (or even the battery) in my experience - but it will last for a long time (years). I received mine as a gift, but two friends had to go out and buy this watch for themselves.

This watch has turned out to be both rugged and attractive. That's a pretty uncommon combination...Highly recommended
