The watch arrived today and it is everything I wanted - a different appearing timepiece that measures barometric pressure and temperature on my wrist. The watch can be calibrated for a nearly accurate temperature measurement (it will vary slightly with your body temperature). Wear the watch for 30 minutes to an hour. Then follow the temperature calibration instructions (E-26) with the watch still on your wrist. This measurement is accurate enough for me. I also enjoy the barometric pressure monitoring function as a drop in the pressure really bothers my joints and a little warning of a drop allows me to plan my day. I would recommend this watch to anyone who is looking for a different timepiece with temperature and barometric pressure readings.

The watch is as promised part. But after you go through the trouble of calibrating it as per the instructions you should have NO PROBLEMS. As far as the timekeeping goes it's a 10/10. The Barometer is also accurate 10/10, even to the hundredth. I've never had to reset or alter it, it's a great watch and an asset for the most part.The 'problems' that I found with this watch (which may have been perfected with the 'newer' version) is that the altitude can change ±50 meters (about 150 feet) when it's raining or in variable weather if that is truly a valid complaint (also, this is stated in the manual).If you are going to die because this watch is not EXACTLY PRECISE for the Temperature and Altitude, you had better rely on another gizmo; or rather an array of gizmos.The other 'problem' that I have with the watch (that was in the other reviews) was that the Temperature gauge can be altered by your body heat (which is stated in the instruction manual) to compensate for this I calibrated it after the watch became "acclimatized" to my resting body temperature, so for the most part it's accurate ±5 º.Again, if you're wanting something that is the most precise equipment on the planet, you may want to go somewhere else; or look into the 'current' model that is about 2-3 times the price of this watch. However, if you're looking for a fairly accurate reading to glance at on your watch, then this is the ticket. Also, be sure to read every page of the instruction manual to find about how this watch works because some of the negative reviews I come across come from people that don't read the paperwork thoroughly and understand how the equipment operates.

Thanks to strong Japanese YEN, it was cheaper than purchasing in Japan. There are some similar watches from CASIO, but it is the best one in terms of size, design, function and price. The only drawback is that it is a bit hard to see characters even in daytime due to the recess position of LCD and the low contrast of characters.
