I was a little hesistant to order a G-Shock watch as they have always looked like they are a brick on your wrist. The watch is large but it has not become a nusence.The numbers are easy to read and the band is comfortable. I constantly bang my watch into things and have not had any shock damage like other watches.Great value

Sturdy and very well built watch. I am quite impressed with the watch and looks much better on the wrist than in the photograph. Though I wish the hourly chime would have been little louder, but that's all right. I would definitely recommend this.

I have been considering buying a "beater watch" to wear when I am working in my garage or around the property on weekends. I finally got around to doing some homework on the matter and I kept gravitating back to the Casio G-Shock series. I have a large frame and an 8" wrist size, so prior models of this series have always seemed slightly too small for my taste. But the GD100-1A G-Shock XL is just as the model description implies. This watch delivers in both size and beef, but it is feather light on the wrist. I have several large, high end watches that I wear to the office and on weekends, but ever since I got my G-Shock XL I find myself turning to it more and more. The watch is masculine, rugged, comfortable, and dang near indestructable. Who could ask for more?I also love the fact that it signals the top of the hour and the stop watch feature which I use when I cook barbeque "low-n-slow" in my smoker.I definately would recommend this watch.
